Georgie Prespakis will be a ‘test’ for Saturday’s Elimination Final against North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos after spraining her ankle in the final round of the home and away season.
The star Cats midfielder suffered the injury early in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s club record-breaking win against Sydney at GMHBA Stadium.
“Georgie Prespakis suffered a lateral ankle sprain on the weekend,” Geelong Cats AFLW head physiotherapist Erin Nelson said.
“Her availability for Saturday's final will depend on her passing functional tests during the week. We are hopeful she will be available.”
The Cats have an otherwise healthy list to choose from heading in their first finals campaign since 2019, with all other players available for selection.
Geelong hosts North Melbourne in the First Elimination Final from 7.10pm AEDT this Saturday at GMHBA Stadium.
