Daniel Menzel's fairytale return to AFL has continued with a round 22 nomination for Weet-Bix Mark of the Year.
The 23-year-old played his first senior match for the Cats in 1450 days following four knee reconstructions restricting him to the sidelines.
Whilst the Cats were unable to get the four points, Menzel's comeback performance was nothing short of inspiring, booting four goals and tallying 20 disposals.
Menzel kicked his first goal half-way through the first term and was quickly embraced by his teammates, before going on to become the Cats' leading goal-scorer for the match.
The Mark of the Year contender took place during the final quarter of the match and sealed Menzel's position as the Cats' best on ground.
