If you need a forward to stand and deliver, Tom Hawkins is your man.
The big Cat was pivotal in a last quarter comeback from Geelong on Saturday afternoon against Collingwood, and though the game was out of reach when Hawkins kicked his fourth and final major, it took nothing away from the feat of strength which led to it.
Keeping his opponent Jack Frost at bay, Hawkins managed to rein in a kick to his disadvantage with the deftest touch.
It was a grab of both muscle and finesse and a deserving nominee for the round 9 Mark of the Year.
