GEELONG chief executive Brian Cook has reacted positively to the club's fixture for next season.
“Overall we are very happy with the fixture,” Cook said after the fixture was released on Thursday morning.
“It’s always a challenge for the AFL to satisfy clubs, but eight games here at Simonds Stadium and a good spread of day and night games throughout the fixture is definitely a win for our members and supporters."

However, when it comes to its home matches, the Cats will continue to campaign for some changes.
“In an ideal world, we would host all 11 home games at Simonds Stadium, but we understand this is not possible," Cook said.
"Having said that, we would prefer to play our Melbourne home games at the MCG, and will continue to push this issue with the AFL.
“In addition to our supporters wanting to see us play on our home ground, games at Simonds Stadium are important for the local economy.
“Each game at home translates into around $4-million in additional activity in and around Geelong.
“We will be seeking a ninth home game at Simonds Stadium once the fourth stage of the redevelopment is completed."
Cook is happy with the increased number of night games that will take place in Geelong next season.
“We also asked for more night games and are pleased to have received four after getting just one in 2015," he said.
“While there is no better experience than being at a Geelong game, we are also pleased that our supporters that cannot attend will see at least 16 games on Channel Seven and all games live on Fox Footy.
“Both broadcasters do a great job of bringing footy to our supporters.”
