The Geelong Cats, with thanks to Viva Energy, hosted their fourth Welcome to Geelong event at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday, 29 April!

Welcome to Geelong supports and encourages Geelong’s newest Australians to learn and enjoy the game of AFL football and provides an opportunity to connect with other Australians through belonging to a club!

Nakia Cockatoo, Jake Kolodjashnij, VFLW player Alisha Habib and Chief Executive Brian Cook, were all on hand to share skills and knowledge of our great game to over 100 attendees from a range of backgrounds.

With fantastic support from Viva Energy volunteers, SEDA and our wonderful Cheersquad who set the scene with our club song and chants, Welcome to Geelong provided a fun and inclusive environment for these new communities to connect to the club and Australian culture.
