Mitch Hardie in one of his early training sessions with Geelong.

Geelong will unveil its newest recruit in the VFL against Frankston on Friday night, with Mitch Hardie set to make his Cats debut.

Experienced SANFL midfielder Hardie joined the Cats with pick 6 in the AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft, and will run out in the Hoops for the first time at GMHBA Stadium with the Cats' VFL team.

He is one of five inclusions for the Cats as their stocks are boosted with AFL experience.

Rhys Stanley will make his comeback from a fractured eye socket via the VFL, with Mitch Knevitt and Sam Simpson returning from AFL duties, while rookie-listed Osca Riccardi is also set to make his return.

Brayden Ham will miss through injury, while Billy Crofts, Mark Marriott, Ryan Eyers and Tom Panuccio are the other outs.

Jack Bowes had been named in the VFL team prior to being named as Geelong's AFL substitute on Thursday night.

The Cats are set to take on the Dolphins from 7.35pm at GMHBA Stadium on Friday. For those unable to attend, the match will be streamed live and free on the official AFL App and website.
