GEELONG has suffered an early blow in Thursday night's physical clash against West Coast with classy young gun Nakia Cockatoo struck down by another hamstring issue.
After booting the first goal of the game – the Cats' only major in the first term – Cockatoo came to the bench and had his right hamstring worked on.
The 20-year-old briefly returned to the action but soon returned to the interchange and appeared to be ruled out of the match wearing a tracksuit just before quarter time.
It is the latest in a string of injury woes for the talented Cat, who missed the round 10 win over the Western Bulldogs with a minor hamstring issue.
Cockatoo's injury continues a run of bad luck at Domain Staidum, where he broke his thumb in round one against Fremantle and missed the next two matches.
