Geelong Football Club has teamed up with AFL Barwon, AFL Victoria and the Geelong Falcons to develop an inaugural Women's Development Program.

This unique opportunity will see coaches at local level given the chance to immerse themselves within Geelong's AFLW program for a week throughout pre season, and learn from the likes of AFLW coach Dan Lowther, VFLW coach Elise Coventry and the broader women's coaching and support team.

"The program has been setup to be really immersive program where you get to learn more about the strategy and tactics of women's football and how to coach it, which will hopefully give participants confidence to then go back and apply some of those learnings back into the community," Head of AFLW and Football Pathways, Brett Johnson told geelongcats.com.au.

“At Ford Australia we’re proud to partner with the Geelong Cats on and off the field, and the Women’s Coach Development Program is a great example of supporting grassroots footy and nurturing the next generation of leaders,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO, Ford Australia
