Geelong Cats have a spot open on their primary AFLW list following Erin Hoare’s retirement.

The league has approved Hoare being moved to the Club’s inactive list, enabling the Cats to find a replacement player to restore their AFLW list to 30 players.

Hoare announced her retirement to teammates on Tuesday, following a career that spanned three seasons at two Clubs, Geelong and Melbourne, either side of a three-year break to pursue her post-doctorate at the University of Cambridge and start a family with husband Chris.
