Sam De Koning will miss the Round 24 clash with West Coast on Saturday, with the key defender set to resume full training next week.
De Koning has missed the past two games against Fremantle and St Kilda, with Assistant General Manager of Football Brett Johnson saying the Club expects De Koning to be available ahead of the first week of Finals.
“Sam will need another week to rehab his knee following his minor procedure last week. He will join the main group next week and will be available for selection the week after,” Johnson said.
Tanner Bruhn and Ted Clohesy will both be a test to play this week as they continue to work through the AFL’s concussion protocols.
Following this weekend’s VFL game, Oscar Murdoch has entered the AFL concussion protocols following a knock in the win against Sandringham.
“Tanner and Ted have been working through the protocols and as we move through the week, we will have a better indication on their availability as we get closer to selection," Johnson said.
“Unfortunately for Oscar, he has entered the AFL’s concussion protocols and we will assess him over the next week or so ahead of the VFL Qualifying Final the week after.”
The Cats take on the Eagles at 1.45pm on Saturday at GMHBA Stadium in their final game for the 2024 home and away season. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
