Mark O’Connor has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a wrist injury.
O’Connor underwent surgery on Monday to repair ligament damage in his right wrist, with the midfielder expected to be in full training in time for the 2025 pre-season.
“Mark underwent successful surgery and will take no further part in our Finals campaign, we look forward to seeing him back out on the track and ready to go for afull pre-season,” Assistant General Manager – Football Brett Johnson said.
After missing the Qualifying Final against Port Adelaide, Tom Stewart (illness) is expected to be available for the Preliminary Final in 11 days.
Tom Hawkins and Cameron Guthrie both returned from injury via the VFL on the weekend.
The Cats yesterday provided an update on Gary Rohan, with the forward suffering a concussion and fractured skull after an errant elbow in the first quarter in the VFL on the weekend.
The Cats will play either GWS or Brisbane in a Preliminary Final on Saturday 21 September at the MCG.
