The Cats have historically been a prime mover on the last day of trading action, including the four exchanges below which saw a number of significant names join the Club.
2024 is expected to be no exception, with all the action set to commence at 2.00pm AEDT this afternoon.
2017 Trade Period - The Little Master Returns Home

It was a trade that ignited the entire Geelong fanbase, as one of the Cats and the competitions all time greatest players returned home at the end of 2017.
Geelong struck a deal with the Gold Coast Suns to secure the services of Gary Ablett Junior, also gaining pick 24 in the draft which was used to select Tim Kelly.
Ablett went on to play 55 games in his second stint with the Cats, while Kelly played 48 games across two seasons.
2020 Trade Period - Cats Hit the Bullseye

2020 deadline day provided one of Geelong's most memorable trades, with superstar forward Jeremy Cameron becoming a Cat.
Three first round draft picks were exchanged for Cameron's services, a price worth paying for one of the competition's best players.
Across his four seasons with the Cats, Cameron has played 83 games and booted 221 goals, making two All-Australian teams, winning a Carji Greeves Medal and becoming a Premiership Player.

Another iconic player in Geelong Football Club history joined on the final day of a trade period, with the Cats bringing in Zach Tuohy on deadline day in 2016.
Calling time on his incredible career, Tuohy finished on 168 games for Geelong and 288 for his career, the most games played by any Irish player in AFL history.
Tuohy was also an integral part of the Cats 2022 Premiership, providing plenty of memorable moments both on and off the field during his time in the Hoops.
2022 Trade Period - Cats Lock Away Future

Geelong's final exchange in the 2022 period came as part of a three team trade, which saw the Cats secure the services of Ollie Henry.
Henry joined from Collingwood, the Cats send them pick 25 in return while also trading Cooper Stephens to Hawthorn as part of the exchange.
In his first two seasons with the Club, Henry has played 45 games and booted 78 goals, the future certainly bright for the emerging forward.
