Rahilly on the players that impressed during Monday's match simulation
I thought a couple of young guys impressed.
Mitch Knevitt has been training really well, he showed that I thought through the middle of the ground.
Connor O'Sullivan had a bit of a go down back, they were both quite strong.
Bailey Smith in his first game for us, it was great to see him get through after having a year off.
I thought it was a good hit-out, I reckon both clubs would be pretty happy with it. It was a beautiful day down here at GMHBA Stadium, all went to plan.
Rahilly on Connor O'Sullivan's Development
He was fantastic, he has been great through the pre-season.
Obviously he has been able to learn off Sam De Koning, Jack Henry and Jake Kolodjashnij, so he has been learning well off them.
I thought he made some really good decisions, especially coming off his man and intercepting.
It was a pleasing performance.
Rahilly on Patrick Dangerfield's Role
He might start forward.
At times we weren't probably as good around the ball as we would like to be, so there will be times where we will definitely need Paddy through the midfield.
He has trained a fair bit with the forwards this pre-season, he has gone really well. He will look to play more next week.
Rahilly on the length of pre-season
It has felt shorter, especially because we started a little bit later than other teams.
Credit to the boys, going away on the Christmas break because they still had three weeks off.
They smashed that, they did everything they were asked of.
The first session we had after Christmas, they nailed it so we are in pretty good shape.
Rahilly on where Max Holmes will be deployed in 2025
I think it will be pretty similar to 2024, Max is the type of player that we put him where we need him.
If we need that run out of half back, we will throw him there.
If we need that explosive speed from stoppages, he will be around the midfield.
He is a very important player to us.
