Geelong will head to Marvel Stadium this weekend for a clash with St Kilda, the first of two trips to the venue for the Cats this year.
Widely regarded as a tricky place to play, Marvel Stadium is renowned for producing faster games of football in pristine conditions under the roof.
Despite this the Cats have been a very successful team at the venue, holding the best win percentage of any team across AFL history.
To the end of the 2024 season Geelong have played 104 games at the Docklands, winning 68 times while only losing 35 matches, with one draw in the mix as well.
This gives the Cats an all-time win rate of 65.87% at the venue, comfortably the best of any team.
By comparison, Sydney (60.87%) hold the second best win rate at Marvel Stadium and Hawthorn (57.37%) have the third highest percentage, still well behind Geelong.
The Cats also hold the highest score in a game and the biggest margin of victory, both coming in their 2007 clash against Richmond at Marvel Stadium.
In that match, Geelong kicked 35 goals and racked up 222 points, taking down the Tigers in a 157 point thumping which started their dominant run to the flag.
Another record that also belongs to the Cats at Marvel Stadium came in 2016, when Patrick Dangerfield equalled the most disposals in a single game at the venue.
In that contest, Dangerfield ran amok accumulating 48 disposals against North Melbourne to tie the record, adding 13 clearances and 11 inside 50's in one of the greatest individual performances ever seen.
More recent history has dished up varying results for the Cats, winning five of their last ten contests at Marvel Stadium dating back to 2017.
Their last two matches at the venue have both been losses to St Kilda (2023 & 2024), something Geelong will be looking to rectify on Saturday night.
