The Cats VFL side looks to continue their hot streak after the bye weekend, taking on the Box Hill Hawks at GMHBA Stadium for an exciting clash on Sunday afternoon.
Geelong exhibited yet another strong fourth quarter performance against the Casey Demons in their last outing, led by Jhye Clark and George Stevens who expertly guided the team to a 16 point win.
In exciting news for Cats fans, Jake Kolodjashnij is set to make his return after being named for his first game in 2025, while Ted Clohesy has also been selected for his first VFL game of the year.

Geelong’s most recent contest against Box Hill was in round two last season, where the Cats held a lead all game before five late unanswered goals from the Hawks resulted in a tough 34 point loss at GMHBA Stadium.
After obtaining the lead halfway through the first quarter, the VFL Cats were able to fend off Box Hill for much of the match until a tough fourth quarter put the Hawks in front despite Geelong’s best efforts.
Lawson Humphries displayed great skill in his second outing for Geelong, collecting 24 disposals with some impressive creativity in his ball use, while current vice-captain Marcus Herbert amassed 20 touches and five tackles.
Tobyn Murray kicked a game high four goals, while Shannon Neale backed him up with three majors of his own.

Stevens has been an important part of Geelong’s success this season, with his ability to utilise the ball through the midfield and the immense pressure he applies on the opposition.
