The Geelong Football Club is set for an exciting weekend, with three teams in action culminating with the Cats taking on Hawthorn in an Easter Monday blockbuster.
To start the weekend the VFLW Cats will be back in action with their season opener on Saturday, taking on Box Hill at Deakin University.
Following that the VFL Cats will also do battle with the Box Hill Hawks, looking to extend their perfect start to the season on Sunday afternoon.

March to the G
March to the ‘G is back for our Easter Monday blockbuster!
Geelong Cats fans are invited to take part in our March to the ‘G prior to Monday’s match, led by the Geelong Cats Marching Band.
Meet at Federation Square at 1.30pm for a 1.45pm start, before arriving at the MCG by 2pm.
Early Attendance Encouraged
General Admission members can scan in through any public gate for access to Level 4, subject to capacity.
- Please plan ahead and arrive as early as possible. Enhanced security measures will be in place at the MCG which may slightly increase wait times.
- Be mindful of what is in your bag. Ensure bags are small and items carried meet the conditions of entry.
Transport
V/Line trains will run to a Saturday timetable for the Easter Monday public holiday on Monday 21 April.

The Cats, alongside the Hawks, will be supporting Dare to Hope as part of Easter Monday’s game. The match will aim to make a significant difference in the outcomes of those impacted by Pancreatic Cancer. More information here.
2.50pm: Be in your seats to help the Dare to Hope team of runners break the 400-metre world record before the Cats play the Hawks at the MCG on Monday 21st April at 2.50pm. It won’t be easy, so they’ll need your help.Every dollar donated will give the runners a head start.

VFL Cats - Round 4
Geelong's VFL team will be looking to extend their perfect start to the 2025 season, when they take on the Box Hill Hawks at GMHBA Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The VFL competition had a weekend off for Gather Round, with the Cats returning in round four on a three game win streak which has them second on the ladder.
Box Hill have won their opening two matches of the season, setting up an exciting clash on Sunday afternoon.
Cats supporters will be able to attend the game at GMHBA Stadium, or the game will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
VFLW Cats - Round 1
With a new coach and captain at the helm, the VFLW Cats are ready to commence their 2025 season this weekend.
The Cats will take on the Box Hill Hawks at Deakin University, with the opening bounce set for 11.05am on Saturday morning.
All matches in the 2025 Smithy’s VFL and VFLW seasons will be live streamed free via the AFL website, AFL Live Official App and VFL App.
