Bowes on his versatility
I like to see my role as pretty fluid within the team.
Whatever I can do to help the team win games of footy, that is what I am out here to do.
On Monday just before the game, I was told I was playing half back which was good.
Mark Blicavs played up on the wing a little bit, we threw a few magnets around and it worked out well.
Bowes on the record crowd on Easter Monday
It is special. It was awesome to have so many Cats fans and members there, obviously it was a home game for us and it felt like we had plenty of supporters out there.
It is hard in moments, I think particularly in the last quarter the crowd can get really loud at times and you can think there is not much time left.
Having the ability to stay a bit more composed in those moments and know that the scoreboard will take care of itself, if you get the big moments right.
Particularly in that last quarter, the crowd was very loud.
Bowes on the win over Hawthorn
It definitely ranks right up there, it felt like a Finals type atmosphere.
The pressure around the footy was definitely high, the ball was zinging up and back.
It took a whole 18 man defence to defend, our contest was good and it did feel like a Finals game.
It is hard to compare, for what it was it was an amazing game to be a part of.
Bowes on the Cats form
I feel like we are starting to get our game back on the right terms.
Week by week, the competition is so even at the moment. Depending on what side you get and how healthy their list is, it can really change the result of a game.
I feel like we are in a pretty good space at the moment, I think defensively it was really pleasing on the weekend with the way we played.
They had a few more inside 50's but we were able to force them into some turnovers in their forward half, then we were able to score off that. Things we weren't able to do earlier in the season, we thought it was better on the weekend.
Bowes on the defensive unit
On the weekend, especially up close playing down back, Lawson [Humphries] and 'Sully' [Connor O'Sullivan] were really impressive. They had some massive contests, particularly late in the game where they stood up, 'Laws' laid some big tackles and 'Sully' had some great intercepts.
Obviously Mark Blicavs as well, I was just looking at some vision then and his contests in the air, particularly late in the game he stood up for us really well.
It is hard, especially as a younger player in those bigger moments, it is good to have some composure and leadership around you with 'Stewy', 'Blitz' even Zach Guthrie has played a lot of footy now.
We lean on each other back there, we try not to get too frustrated or too high and low. We just try to stay in the moment and do what we can in the next contest to play our best footy.
