Geelong is set to face its biggest challenge of the VFL season with the table-topping Richmond locked in for a visit to GMHBA Stadium this weekend.
Many believe the matchup is a possible grand final preview, with both sides showing some red-hot form in recent weeks.
Richmond won their sixth straight game with an 86-point pumping of Werribee last week, and have only lost two games for the year to sit four points clear on top of the ladder.
The Tigers have played once more than Casey and Geelong who sit one and three games behind in second and third.
The Cats had their own seven game win streak ended by Casey just two weeks ago before having a bye round to think things over last week.
The last time the Tigers and Cats faced off Geelong came out seven-point victors at home in round 17 of last year.
Geelong will have to adapt quickly to the loss of Ryan Abbott to the AFL side, leaving Zac Smith with a lot more responsibility in the ruck. Bachar Houli will add some experience in defence for the Tigers.
