MITCH Duncan has expressed his excitement to see the lightning-quick Gary Rohan alongside fellow recruit Luke Dahlhaus in the forward half in 2019.
Duncan told SEN Breakfast that Rohan’s turn of foot is so impressive he’d back the former Swan in a foot race with explosive Cat Patrick Dangerfield.
“Gary Rohan can do it all. He can take a mark and his speed is something that I haven’t seen much of,” Duncan said.
“He’s lightning quick for a guy that still weighs 95 kilos and is 192cm so he’s hard to bring down once he gets going.
Coupled with the crafty Dahlhaus, Duncan hopes the duo can bring a shot of energy to the forward half.
“They’re going to provide something different for us and give us a different look,” Duncan said.

“We’ve had a lot of those small forwards but we just couldn’t get them on the park as often as we would have liked.”
The duo will partner Cats spearhead Tom Hawkins in attack, who Duncan said was looking good on the track after rolling his ankle just prior to Christmas.
“He’s back in full training, I think he was carrying on just a little bit because he knew the cameras were there.
“Obviously he’s a bit of a heavy lad to roll the ankle but I think it was the last session before we went away for the Christmas period, so he had ample time to get that right so he’s back training and moving really well which is pleasing.”
