We take a moment to look back at each of the players on our list who made up our inaugural season in the competition.

READ - ONE TO FIVE

6. Julia Crockett-Grills

Crockett-Grills was a regular in the side’s forward line and midfield throughout the season. The pocket rocket put on five kilograms of muscle during the AFLW season and her best game was against the Lions in round five where she pushed from the forward line to defence showing her impressive work rate.

7. Mia-Rae Clifford

Clifford was the side’s leading goal scorer for the season kicking an impressive six goals from eight scoring shots. Clifford kicked goals in all but three games including a two goal performance against Adelaide in round three.

8. Kate Darby

Darby’s best game for the season came in round five against the Brisbane Lions where she was best on ground. Darby was a standout kicking three goals and collecting 15 disposals. Darby also had the highest number of score involvements for the season, averaging 2.3 per game.

9. Nina Morrison

Morrison’s season was cruelly cut short after her impressive opening match against the Magpies in Round one. The number one draft pick showed what she is capable of with a 22 disposal performance on debut. Unfortunately that was the only game we saw Morrison play after she ruptured her ACL the following week. Her game against Collingwood scored her a NAB Rising Star nomination.

10. Georgia Rankin

Rankin played two matches for the Cats this season. Her debut match was in round one against Collingwood where she had six disposals and her second game was against Fremantle where she laid an impressive five tackles.
