GARY Ablett has added to the stable of the potential father-son players at Geelong following the birth of a baby boy.
Ablett and his wife Jordan announced the arrival of their baby boy on Thursday evening via his Instagram page.
Ablett wrote a heartfelt message on his Instagram page detailing his love for the birth of his yet to be named son.
"Family - where life begins and love never ends," Ablett posted.
"Our beautiful baby boy is finally here."
The Cats now have almost 30 eligible father-son picks from the golden premiership era from 2007 to 2011.
Brad Ottens (Johnny), Jimmy Bartel (Aston and Henley), Corey Enright (Boh and Tex), Paul Chapman (Myles), Steve Johnson (Archie) and Cameron Mooney (Jagger) are among those eligible under the father-son rule.
Ablett has now played 211 games with the Cats, while also playing 110 matches with Gold Coast between 2011 and 2017.
