Geelong have made three changes to their team that will play the Gold Coast Suns at Metricon Stadium on Saturday night.

Ruckman Rhys Stanley and pressure forward Tom Atkins return after both missed last week’s win against the Western Bulldogs.

James Parsons has also been included in Geelong’s 22-man lineup and will play his first AFL game this season.

The 22-year-old has been a standout performer in the VFL playing through the midfield and in attack.

The Cats will be without their vice-captain with Patrick Dangerfield ruled out through injury. Meanwhile, Charlie Constable and Ryan Abbott have been omitted.

Constable, Esava Ratugolea, Sam Simpson and Zach Guthrie have been named emergencies.

The team will wear their 2019 Indigenous Guernsey designed by Quinton Narkle on Saturday for Sir Doug Nicholls round.

A percentage of each guernsey sold will be donated to Geelong’s Next Generation Academy (NGA).
