The Geelong Cats VFLW team will play their first practice match of the year next Tuesday 10 April at GMHBA Stadium. The Cats will line up against the AFLW Academy side at 6.30pm.
Next Tuesday’s game is the first of three practice matches at Kardinia Park throughout April before the Cats VFLW side begin their 2018 campaign on Sunday 6 May.
The match provides a rare chance for the Geelong community to observe the greatest up and coming AFLW talent, whilst also providing a glimpse at the Cats VFLW team in their first practice match of 2018.
The AFLW Academy, modelled off the AFL Academy, is an elite football pathway program for the best 40 U18 players in the country. It provides these talented young girls from all around the country an opportunity to develop their skills in a professional environment whilst navigating their future in the AFL industry.
