Stewart Crameri has revealed the seriousness of a poke in the eye he received in the VFL against North Melbourne just under a month ago.
Crameri told K rock that the incident left him needing multiple bouts of surgery.
“I had to get laser eye surgery on there a couple of times,” he said.
“It was quite uncomfortable. But it seems to have fixed it and it should be right.
“They (eye specialists) couldn’t tell straight away (it needed surgery), but then they looked at it after a week, and they said “we need to fix that up”,” Crameri said.
Crameri is now on the mend, however the relatively innocuous on-field incident left the Cats forward struggling to see for some time.
“(For) a couple of weeks I was a little bit blind, so it was pretty serious,” he said.
“I trained a little bit last week, and I’ll train this week, and I’ll hopefully play in the VFL against Frankston on Sunday,” he said.
