Cats defender Tom Stewart says the team is looking forward to playing their first match at GMHBA Stadium this year against the Saints on Sunday.
The 25-year-old was one of the standout performers against the Eagles, finishing with 20 possessions, 10 spoils and eight marks.
“It will be good to get home. It’s always good to play in Geelong,” said Stewart.
“Obviously it hasn’t been the best start to the year that we would have liked, but we will get back and do the work during the week and come out as hard as we can against the Saints and get the win.”
In the absence of experience duo Harry Taylor and Lachie Henderson is defence, Stewart is now one of the leaders in the back six. He has been impressed by the performances of Jack Henry since making his debut in round two.
“He is a special footballer and we are very lucky to have him in the wings. Probably exposed a little earlier than a lot of people would have thought, but he is holding his own and excelling at the level, which is fantastic to see.”
The Cats round four clash against the Saints will kick off at 4.40pm this Sunday.
