It’ll be difficult to push anyone out of the side that accounted for Port in Adelaide but here are the Cats pushing for inclusion against the Swans on Saturday.
Cory Gregson
After the relief of the diagnosis of just a foot sprain for Gregson, he managed to train strongly last week and will be in-line for a recall to the side. His pressure and grunt is elite and the Cats like his versatility on a wing or up forward.
Tom Hawkins
Hawkins was the latest of withdrawals on Saturday night after experiencing back spasms in the warm up. His absence was particularly noticeable in its effect on Daniel Menzel’s game with the medium forward being double teamed at every opportunity. Should he get over his back ailment, expect Hawkins to resume his battle with Swans full back Heath Grundy.
Zach Guthrie
In his second season, Guthrie continues to impress but was omitted from the side to take on the Power due to match ups. Guthrie didn’t get the opportunity to play in the VFL after heading to Adelaide as a travelling emergency. Could get the call up to take on the Swans small-medium forwards.
Stewart Crameri
Could Crameri make his debut for the Cats in round six and also reach the 100 game milestone? His performance against the Footscray Bulldogs in the VFL on Saturday was impressive, finishing with 18 disposals, three clearances and two goals. He spent a lot of time in the midfield to utilise his great aerobic capacity.
Charlie Constable
Could Constable get his chance this week to debut if Scott Selwood is unable to get up from the concussion he suffered on Saturday night? Chris Scott has been effusive in his praise for the young midfielder and he put up solid numbers of 21 disposals, 11 contested possessions and three clearances in the VFL win on Saturday.
