Geelong midfielder Patrick Dangerfield has been nominated for Goal of the Year for his miraculous effort against the Western Bulldogs in round nine.

Hemmed in on the boundary line, Dangerfield kicked truly on his left foot under pressure and watched the ball head straight through the middle despite the tough angle.

Dangerfield booted four goals on the night to go with 36 disposals and 12 tackles.
