Joel Selwood has become the youngest player in history to register 180 wins at VFL/AFL level.
The Cats’ 38-point win over St Kilda in round five made Selwood the 50th player to reach the milestone and the youngest by some 537 days.
The win also marked the fifth time the 28-year-old Geelong captain has started the season 5-0. Teammate Harry Taylor shared the accolade, with both players joining former Cat Jimmy Bartel as the only men to start the first five games undefeated in five separate seasons.
