Geelong skipper Joel Selwood has climbed to the top of the leaderboard in the AFL Coaches' Association Player of the Year award after receiving a perfect score for his performance against Adelaide on Friday night.

Selwood was awarded the maximum five votes by both coaching groups.

All the votes went to Cats players, with Patrick Dangerfield, Zach Tuohy, Andrew Mackie, Scott Selwood and Tom Stewart also featuring.
