The Cats have announced an important new community partnership with Barwon Child, Youth and Family.

The arrangement will commence in early 2017.

"Barwon Child, Youth and Family will staff two of our key programs: Cyber Bullying and Just Think," Cats chief executive Brian Cook said at the announcement on Wednesday.

"We're talking about full-time staff ... who are experts in this area. This is a really big plus for us.

"I think our club and our community are intertwined completely.

"We rely on the community and the community relies on us."

BCYF's chief executive, Sandy Morrison, was delighted to announce the new partnership.

"Barwon Child, Youth and Family and the Geelong Cats have a long-standing commitment to the community and to programs that advance the wellbeing of children, young people and their families.

"We think it provides a great opportunity around providing evidence-based programs and the evaluation of those programs."
