Geelong will be back under the roof of Etihad Stadium on Saturday night for the third consecutive week – this time against a much-improved St Kilda outfit.

The Cats will have at least one change with midfielder Josh Caddy out for a month or more and set to be replaced by Cameron Guthrie – who missed a comprehensive win over the Western Bulldogs due to illness.

For St Kilda, their key forward of the past decade is set to return alongside their key forward of the next decade.

Nick Riewoldt missed the Saints' impressive 32-point win over the Blues in round 12 with a knee injury, whilst Paddy McCartin also missed with concussion. Both have gained extra rest through the timing of the bye and should take their place in the St Kilda forward line against the Cats.

That of course means two players must make way and the most likely omissions would be Nathan Wright and Lewis Pierce. Wright had five disposals in his first senior game for 2016 whilst Pierce was quiet on debut with just six.

Though playing as a defender, Tom Lee may also exit the side due to injury. The 25-year-old left the field in the third quarter against the Blues following a knee problem and did not return. He is listed as a test this week.

St Kilda’s VFL-affiliate Sandringham had their own bye last weekend meaning senior coach Alan Richardson will need to look at form from a fortnight ago when assessing the next crop of young Saints knocking on the door.

This group includes the highly-rated Jack Billings, who was surprisingly dropped prior the Carlton win in round 12 but responded well via the VFL to put his hand up for selection again. Billings had 28 disposals for Sandringham.

Meanwhile, Jack Lonie has to be considered after 15 disposals and five goals for best on ground against Essendon VFL two weeks ago, as does Jack Sinclair who had 27 disposals, two goals and a game-high 12 tackles.
