Cats great Ian Nankervis has paid tribute to Corey Enright, who will break his longstanding club games record when Geelong hosts the Western Bulldogs at Simonds Stadium on Friday night.
Nankervis played 325 games in the hoops between 1967 and 1983, and last weekend he was at the Cattery to see Enright equal his record.
"It's a great achievement," the 68-year-old told Cats Media. "I know it took me many, many years to get to that number of games.
"Corey has been the sort of player that I've really liked because he's a player that just goes about the business - a no nonsense sort of player, and never really beaten.
"I am honoured at this stage to be level with him.
"He's going to break the record, so well done to him."
