The VFL Cats will play the North Melbourne aligned North Ballarat Roosters earlier in the day - providing Cats supporters with an opportunity to see the entire playing list in action on the one day in the lead up to the 2014 season proper.
Due to the VFL season not starting until AFL Round 3, the VFL Cats will be playing their first warm up game on the same day that the AFL side are playing their final practice match.
The Cats will also play fellow stand-alone AFL sides Essendon & Footscray in practice matches at Simonds Stadium on the weekends of AFL Rounds 1 and 2.
The schedule of matches is as follows:
Practice Match 1 – Bendigo Bank Cats Vs North Ballarat Roosters- Friday 7th March @ TBA
Practice Match 2 – Bendigo Bank Cats Vs Essendon – Saturday 22nd March @ 11.00am
Practice Match 3 – Bendigo Bank Cats Vs Footscray Bulldogs – Saturday 29th March @ 1.00pm
