GEELONG’S VFL team will feature in three matches televised by Channel 7 during the 2016 season.
The announcement of the TV games was made as part of the VFL fixture launch on Friday.
The three televised matches will be against Frankston at Frankston in round seven, Box Hill at Simonds Stadium in round 11 and Werribee at Simonds Stadium in round 15.
The VFL Cats, who will be under the coaching of Shane O’Bree, kick off their 2016 premiership season campaign with a Friday night home game against the Northern Blues on April 16.
The clash with the Blues actually takes place in round two, as the Cats take on the AFL Academy in a practice game on the weekend of round one.
O’Bree’s young men will take part in another four practice matches before then.

* 2 Friday night, 9 Saturday, and 7 Sunday matches
* Three byes: round 1 (AFL round 3), round 8 (AFL round 10) and round 13 (AFL round 15 – VFL bye is aligned to AFL bye)
