Jimmy Bartel has today earned himself what is undoubtedly the most sought after title in Australia: AFL’s sexiest player.

The Cats heartthrob took the crown with 12.6% of the votes ahead of Richmond’s Alex Rance at 11.9% in the Herald Sun Footy Fans Survey.

The Bartel poolroom would already be bursting at the seams with countless medals of the Brownlow, Premiership and Norm Smith variety but they’ll have to move over for his latest honour.

This is the sixth time (and fifth in a row) Bartel has been declared the AFL’s sexiest player, with redheaded former Cat Cameron Ling also having won the title before.

Tom Hawkins was the only other Cat featured, coming in at ninth.
