STAR Cats recruit Patrick Dangerfield is counting down the days until he pulls the hoops on in a game for the first time.

All going to plan, Dangerfield’s will play his first game for Geelong when the club opens is NAB Challenge campaign against Collingwood at Simonds Stadium on Friday, February 26.

“I’m looking forward to it,” the 25-year-old told geelongcats.com.au during an interview that forms part of CatsTV's pre-season series.

“I’m getting married on Jan 2, so that’s the first hurdle for me, then obviously the pre-season games will come around really quickly.

“We’re all excited to get stuck into those. 

“There’s quite a few fresh faces at the footy club, so we’re looking forward to playing together for the first time.”
