Geelong has made five changes to its side to take on Greater Western Sydney.

Into the side that beat Gold Coast comes James Podsiadly who has overcome his knee and ankle issues, Jackson Thurlow who was rested against Gold Coast, Billie Smedts who has missed the past two games with an ankle injury and Jordan Murdoch and Jesse Stringer who both played VFL last week.

Missing for the Cats are Harry Taylor and Mark Blicavs who are both rested, Steven Motlop with knee tendinitis, George Burbury with a quad injury and Jordan Schroder who has been omitted.

The Cats wll be playing their first ever game at the Giants home ground of Skoda Stadium.
