Geelong has named Kate Darby and Anna Teague in the team to take on Richmond this Saturday afternoon.
Both impressed in last week’s VFLW practice match against Williamstown with Darby playing in the ruck and Teague a stand out up forward.
AFLW head coach Paul Hood said the experienced duo would provide versatility to the team.
“A little bit of positional flexibility with Kate,” said Hood.
“Then Anna (brings) terrific speed and aggressive play at the ball.
“(She also has) the ability to play both forward and back, real versatility for the team.”
Forward Maddie Boyd and Rene Caris have been omitted from the side this week.
Saturday’s game begins at 3.10pm at Queen Elizabeth Oval in Bendigo.
The Cats and the Tigers will both be searching for their first win of the season.
