Nina Morrison has been named in the inaugural AFLW 22Under22 team.
The talented midfielder was one of Geelong's most consistent performers this season before a devastating knee injury ended her campaign.
The 19-year-old averaged 13.3 disposals per game.
Morrison's best-on-ground performance against the Suns in round five was a highlight.
The former number one draft pick registered 23 disposals and 14 contested possessions to help the Cats register a crucial win on the road.
Fellow Cat Olivia Purcell can count herself unlucky to miss out after she was initially included in the squad of 31 players.
Purcell was Geelong's leading disposal winner this season, averaging 20.2 touches a game and was recently named in the All Australian squad.
After the release of the 31-player squad, almost 1,800 team entries were created by fans across the country.
This is the first year the 22Under22 concept has been extended to the women’s competition, since its inception in the male competition in 2013.
The AFL Players’ Association’s 22Under22 is the only recognised AFL award voted by the fans.
