Geelong has announced that ruckman Dawson Simpson has been charged with drink driving and the club is considering what sanctions to impose.

The Cats released a statement saying that Simpson was last night found by police to be driving while over .05.

The statement went onto say that club is in the process of gathering more information before determining what actions to impose above that under law.

Relevant stakeholders, including the AFL and TAC,  have been informed of the situation.
