Released on iTunes last week and already in the Top 20 for the Australian hip hop charts, the song tells the tale of a young boy who grows up dreaming of playing on Australian sports’ biggest stage, an AFL grand final.
The track has been released by former AFL player Nathan Lovett-Murray’s record label, Payback Records.
Motlop said he was excited to finally jump into the studio.
“Nathan Lovett-Murray approached me to do something and Philly had just brought out his album and he wanted me to feature on it.” Motlop said.
“I hadn’t really done much in the studio, and I thought “no better way to do something like this”, and hopefully I can get into the studio and it’s given me a bit of experience and hopefully I can record a little bit more.”
The Cats are getting right behind the song making it the official track of their 2014 finals campaign and pushing for all fans to purchase it to push it up the Australian charts.

Phillip Murray aka PHILLY, 22, was born in the golden era of Hip Hop in 1991. By the age of four his older brothers had a huge collection and all he ever listened to was Hip Hop. The first hip hop song he remembers hearing as a child was Naughty by Natures ‘Hip Hop Hooray’ PHILLY’s destiny was set, he would be a Rapper and Songwriter.
