Cats take the same path
Geelong continues to take its same path despite changes in the Cats 2014 team. Cats TV discuss on Argue the Toss.
With the middle of the season about to hit, Cats TV ask George Horlin-Smith and Scott Gullan if they believe Geelong are shaping up differently this season or heading towards an uprising path similar to those before?
Gullan strongly believes the Cats, who are sitting on seven wins to two losses, are sticking to the same positive road, which they’ve taken since 2007.
“I think it’s humming along the way that it’s always hummed along - they’re sitting in the mix this season,” Gullan told Cats TV.
“The Cats are showing up the kids, like the one next to me, they’re up to 30,40,50 games - they’re perfectly placed.
According to the 20-year-old midfielder, it’s the club’s leaders that enable upcoming players to join them on their upward journey year after year.
“I think it comes down to senior players getting us involved in the game early and making us feel like we belong,” Horlin-Smith said.
“They look out for us on match day, help us during the week to prepare for games and informing us about opposition players that we might be coming up against.
“When you have players that are willing to invest that time it does make you feel like you belong in the side.”
