Cats TV asked special guest James Podsiadly and Adam McNicol who they believe is in the running to make the All-Australian list this year on Argue the Toss?

With the Cats strong performance so far, Podsiadly finds it hard not to reel off a long list of players that deserve to make this year’s selection.

Although he’s confident his skipper is sitting up there next to Geelong’s two key defenders.

“I think on form I’d have to say Joel Selwood, Harry Taylor and Corey Enright are probably locks, their stats and their form and consistency throughout the year would deserve them of that,” Podsiadly told Cats TV.

“And the other couple of guys that could get a mention are Andrew Mackie, and I think Mathew Stokes is a guy that flies under the radar but internally we rate him very highly and obviously Steven Motlop has had a break-out year as well.”

McNicol also can’t go passed Steven Motlop, who has had an electric year with an average of 18.2 disposals a game and 36 goals so far.

“I think Motlop has to be in there, for his pure value and for how many crucial things he has done in Geelong’s wins, along with Harry Taylor,” McNicol said.

“And I think if they had to pick in Round 8 or 9 Stokesy would have been in there for sure. He has still had a very consistent season whether he’s caught the eye enough to get in the team at the end of the season is yet to be seen.”
