Geelong faces the prospect of being without star Steve Johnson for their upcoming blockbusters with Fremantle and Hawthorn.

Johnson was offered a two week suspension for his bump on Pearce Hanley in Sunday night's clash.

The match review panel said Johnson bump was high, negligent and medium impact resulting in 225 demerit points. Another 54.04 points was added due to carry over points. The total of 279.04 points can be reduced to 209.28 with an early guilty plea.

After being checked out by Brisbane medical stuff, Hanley suffered no ill effects from the bump and played out the rest of the game.

Geelong has until 11am on Tuesday to make a decision.
