Harry eyes off Newman
Harry Taylor takes a look at Richmond’s most senior player, Chris Newman, for Opposition Breakdown on Cats TV
Cats TV joins Harry Taylor for Opposition Breakdown, where he takes a closer look at Richmond’s number one player, Chris Newman.
The former defending Captain possesses experience and leadership, having played 43 games more than his current teammates. Taylor describes Newman as an all-round player, who excels in nearly every area of the game.
“He’s in the top 10 at the moment this season, in spoils, marks, goal assists and total disposals, all for the Richmond football club,” Taylor told Cats TV.
“He’s a great all-round player that I’d love to have on my team.”
The only way Taylor believes the Cats can limit the 200-game player from winning the contest, is to increase the pressure on his teammates.
“Well, we must respect him because he’s a 200-game player and a standing leader at the club,” Taylor said.
“We must make him accountable when he’s playing as a defender, he’s good at coming off and helping out his teammates.”
