City of Greater Geelong has organized an extended bus service to cater for footy fans heading to Geelong’s first AFL night game this Saturday at Simonds Stadium.

The Mayor of Geelong, Keith Fagg, says the buses are a great idea for this weekend’s exciting event, which has been organized by Public Transport Victoria.

“Travelling to the footy by bus is a fantastic way to go – no traffic hassles and no need to find a car park,” Fagg said.

Geelong Football Club’s CEO, Brian Cook, is also really pleased with the extended bus service, which will run to and from the stadium.

“Our members and supporters ability to get to and from Simonds Stadium, particularly with night games now a reality for the first time, is important, and we encourage those travelling to and from the game to use the public transport options available,” Mr Cook said.
