Old Cat hits back
Geelong's veteran, Paul Chapman, could make his return to Simonds Stadium as early as Friday to join the VFL's first night clash
Positive news came from the nib Medical Room this week, which will hopefully result in an exciting return to the VFL this Friday night.
Geelong’s physio, Mike Snelling, was very optimistic about Paul Chapman’s progress on the training track and believes the veteran could be back as early as this week to take on Collingwood at Simonds Stadium.
“Yeah there’s some good news there,” Snelling said.
“He’s been able to train in the last week and he’s still got this week’s training to get through, we anticipate if he gets through all of that without any issues then we should hopefully see him on the park this weekend.”
Snelling also had good news regarding Corey Enright and Mathew Stokes who will both undergo further tests during training this week to see if they’re right to go.
“Stokesy also had some chronic groin issues and he was a bit sore last week when he withdrew from the game,” Snelling explained.
“We anticipate that he’ll get up for the full training session and will be available for this weekend.”
This Friday night the Cats VFL will battle it out against Collingwood at Simonds Stadium from 6pm. The gates to the stadium will open from 1pm for an open training session before the game.
All proceeds from Friday's gate sales will go towards the Casey Tutungi Future Fund. We look forward to seeing you there and appreciate your support. For more details please click here.
