Mitchell cleared of Cats incidents
Hawk Sam Mitchell has been cleared by the Match Review Panel of two incidents involving Geelong players
The AFL's match review panel cleared Mitchell of two incidents arising out of the weekend's clash.
The first (watch above) incident saw Mitchell chop Taylor Hunt in the throat in the centre circle. The umpire at the time paid a free kick to Hunt but the MRP decided the matter needn't go further.
The second incident which resulted in Cat Joel Corey being stretchered from ground was assessed as being a result of Corey dragging Mitchell to the ground.
No Geelong players were assessed in the clash.
Steve Johnson returns this week after serving a two match penalty for rough conduct.
