Steven Motlop has been nominated for the British Paints Goal of the Year Award for his electric pace and accuracy in the goal square on the weekend.

Motlop glided through Port defenders after finding the ball again from his own handball on the boundary, where he darted towards the goals for a superb snap.

The young Cat, who played his 45th AFL game on Saturday, claimed 23 disposals, four marks and two goals against Port Adelaide at Simonds Stadium.

This week’s nominees include North Melbourne’s Daniel Wells and Fremantle’s Hayden Ballantyne.
