Forgotten Cat Ranga Ediriwickrama is in line to make his VFL debut for the Cats on Saturday.
Ediriwickrama missed the entire 2009 season with a hamstring injury, and is now close to a return. He has been named in the forward pocket for the Cats who face Frankston on Saturday at Skilled Stadium (1:10pm).
Geelong will not finalise its team until Saturday, with the senior Cats not playing until Monday against Carlton. The seven players named on the extended AFL team’s bench have all been named in the VFL team, but four will play on Monday.
Jeremy Laidelr returns after missing last week, as does Josh Cowan.
